Today we got something really neat to show you. It is a completely different approach to configuring your computer and keep it up to date.
With EDP 5 you get a new web based interface that runs via a local web server on your computer. The whole user experience have been re-thought – and with this great new framework we will over the coming months be adding lots of new cool stuff – EDP5 will and is your new Hackintosh control panel.
By the time you read this; EDP5 is on the servers allready and you can go ahead and update using the console app or via a few lines in terminal.
sudo su svn up /Extra
To start EDPweb, simply run edpweb.command in /Extra.
F.A.Q
Are there bugs ?
Offcourse there is – but we are working fast to remove them. If you find bugs, it is always possible to report them on our forum.
Is this secure ?
Yes, the web server is bound to 127.0.0.1 / localhost – so its just you .. on your local machine that can access it.
What other features are you planning ?
Anything that can help you run your system better. For example a editor for org.chameleon.boot.plist and smbios.plist, but also a better connection with our main website.
